How to Order Cheap Custom T-Shirts | April 2023
5 Things to Remember
Keep these five things in mind when ordering custom screen printed t-shirts to get the lowest possible price. The general rule is if you reduce the time and material costs the cheaper the finished t-shirts will be.
First, Keep Artwork Simple
Graphic artists charge for their time and the longer it takes for them to prepare your art the more it will cost you. If you have a logo, send it in a not blurry or pixilated format. Hand drawn graphics must be converted into usable graphics and that will cost you.
Second, Use One Ink Color
Each ink color adds a screen set up and a more expensive run charge.
Third, Print on One Side
Printing the image in one location on the shirt will cost less than two or more locations. Example: A front only print would cost less that a front and back print. Sleeve prints carry a premium because they take more time for the screen printer to produce.
Fourth, Be Mindful of Production Breaks
Production price breaks may vary between printers but the general rule is the more you print the less each shirt will cost. An example of production price breaks are: 12 – 36 – 72 – 144 …you get the point. If you are close to a quantity price break ordering a few more shirts may reduce the cost of the entire order.
Fifth, Select the Cheapest Shirt to Fit Your Needs
A standard cotton/poly blend in most circumstances offers years of acceptable wearability.
